Our Journey Started with a Purpose
KHS Speed School was built on a simple but powerful belief that every athlete deserves the opportunity to unlock their full potential. What began as a small passion project by Coach Kelly quickly evolved into a movement dedicated to helping athletes of all levels grow stronger, faster, and more confident in their craft. From those early training sessions in modest facilities to now coaching top-performing athletes, our journey has always been fueled by one mission: to inspire, guide, and equip every athlete to go further than they ever thought possible.

2011
Whilst beginning her journey at Loreto Grammar School in Altrincham, Kelly discovered her deep love for athletics. During this time, she signed with the Crewe Alexandra Academy, where her commitment to training and discipline began to take shape. Alongside football, she also found a second passion in cross-country running a sport that not only tested her endurance but taught her the value of resilience, focus, and mental strength. These early experiences would go on to lay the foundation for what would later become KHS Speed School.

2012
Kelly reached a new milestone in her athletic journey by signing a contract with Manchester City Academy, taking her game to a higher level of competition. That same year, she proudly represented the Republic of Ireland U19’s National Team, gaining invaluable experience on the international stage. Balancing both academy and national duties, Kelly continued to grow in discipline, skill, and mindset traits that would later shape her passion for developing future athletes.

2013
Kelly’s dedication to both education and athletics opened new doors when she was recruited to play in America at Central Connecticut State University. While competing at the collegiate level, she balanced her passion for football with academics, studying Sports Science and Health Promotion. Her time in the U.S. not only strengthened her athletic performance but also deepened her understanding of athlete development, health, and performance optimization.

2017
During her time in Connecticut, Kelly was given the incredible opportunity to work at one of America’s top Strength and Conditioning facilities Parisi Speed School. There, she immersed herself in the world of athletic performance, learning advanced methods in strength, agility, and speed development. This experience shifted her focus toward sports performance training, where she discovered her true passion for helping athletes maximize their physical potential through structured, science-backed programs.

2018
After graduating from Central Connecticut State University, Kelly returned to England to continue her professional journey in football. Shortly after her return, she signed a professional contract with Burnley Football Club, marking another proud milestone in her athletic career. Competing at a professional level allowed Kelly to apply everything she had learned about discipline, teamwork, and performance lessons that would later inspire the foundation of KHS Speed School.

2020
Unfortunately, Kelly’s promising football career was cut short after she sustained a serious knee injury a setback that tested her strength and determination like never before. Though the injury ended her time on the pitch, it sparked a new sense of purpose. During recovery, Kelly developed a deep passion for athlete rehabilitation, movement efficiency, and coaching, realizing that her true calling was helping others overcome obstacles and achieve greatness both physically and mentally.

2022
After years of personal experience, growth, and overcoming challenges, Kelly felt a deep desire to help other athletes unlock their own potential. Her passion for coaching and performance training led to the creation of KHS Speed School a place built to empower athletes of all levels to move faster, train smarter, and perform stronger. What started as one coach’s mission to give back has grown into a community driven by excellence, discipline, and results.
